Guitar Accessories

Guitar accessories allow the guitar player to tweak his or her sound to find the desired effect. These accessories range from guitar picks to electronic effects processors.

One of the most common guitar accessories is the guitar pick, which is simply a small piece of hard material which the musician uses to pluck the guitar strings. Classical guitarists usually prefer to pick the strings with their fingernails, but a guitar pick can be very useful, especially on electric guitars.

Some other common guitar accessories include slides, which create a glissando effect. The capo is used to change the pitch of open strings. Less glamorous accessories include the simple guitar strap, which might need to be changed or adjusted according to style and height preferences.
